Get Your Long Tail On!  (Real Estate Keyword Phrases, that is…)

I wanted to take some time to show you some pretty incredible results that I am seeing with the long tail keyword phrases I am using within my real estate virtual assistant blog posts.

The examples shown above and below of my own search engine optimization results are all based on my longtail keyword phrases that I have used within various blog posts that have brought great traffic and subsequent leads to my business.  This is completely and utterly attainable by you too!   Think outside the real estate box that you may be closed within, such as only using real estate keyword phrases like “Your City real estate” or “Your Town homes for sale“, but get creative.   Start using other long tail keyword phrases that  will get your real estate blog found.

But what is a “Long Tail Real Estate Keyword Phrase” exactly?  That, right there is!  A long tail keyword phrase is a search term that a prospective lead may type in versus a short tail real estate keyword phrase.  Your typical short keyword phrase would be “Your City real estate“, whereas a longtail keyword phrase would be something like, “search your city homes for sale in foreclosure“.

Why?” you’re asking… “Doesn’t it make sense to go for the most obvious keyword phrases to get the leads to your blog (or website)?”  The reason why you would want to include such long tail real estate keyword phrases into your search engine optimizaton efforts is because you will then gain more traffic and subsequent leads by doing so.  With the smaller number of competitor websites being found under those long tail keyword phrases, you will hone in on additional, not-so-obvious traffic that others will miss, and you will see your website or blog at the top of the search engines much quicker – sometimes immediately!

So get your thinking caps and get your long tail on!

  1. I agree Suzanne… long tail is the way to go for faster results. You will attain the desired traffic to your blog or website with long tail keywords… you just have to optimize for a list of long tail keywords and keep them in mind when you’re blogging, tweeting, posting to your FACEBOOK Fan Page, designing new content for your website… etc. I have also gotten great ranking and results from blog directories like Blogged, Blog Catalog, etc.

The neat thing is I have this plugin that is called LiveChat which allows me to see some great backend information, such as the keyword phrases used as they happen. I love this age of technology!
