Today marks the date for all Facebook Page layouts to be switched over to newly designed Timeline version. Are you ready?

What does being ready entail?

There are many ways that you can optimize your Facebook Page, and now that I have had a few weeks to play around with it, Facebook’s new Timeline layout has actually really grown on me.

I’ve created a few other Facebook page calls to action tutorials and how to guide videos, and like those, this one is full of some sweet updates you can make to really gain some more traffic to your own website/blog.

Facebook Page Timeline Image Size and Placements Tutorial

Lots of questions are flying around Facebook since the release of their new Timeline layout a few days ago. Even though this is not going to be made effective for everyone until the end of March 2012, it is important to know what has changed and where things are now located on your Facebook Page.

The following video tutorial shows you where your page links are now located, how large your custom tab images, cover image and interior pages must be and how to be strategic in your customizations. Each of the sizes mentioned on the video are listed below too.

Facebook Business Page Timeline – What When How Long Tutorial

Facebook Business Page Timeline layout will be effective as of March 30th, 2012. Your Facebook Profile is already on the Timeline layout, which Facebook created in the third quarter of last year, so this is not completely new or unfamiliar territory for most.

However, with this new timeline, the default landing pages are being made obsolete, and therefore, what you have, how you have it appear and for how long is that much more important when it comes to your business pages on Facebook.

How To Change Facebook Page App Images

Just when you thought it was safe to move about at leisure, Facebook’s at it again.

First it was the Facebook Profile time line facelift, now it is in the works for Pages too.

One of the very first things I noticed was the ugly looking application images. Lucky for you (and me) they can be easily modified to something more pleasing to the eye and (more importantly) made into calls to action. This is especially so, since the ability to have a default landing tab has been removed and the cover photo area cannot have any marketing aspects to it either!
