Virtual Assistant’s Favorite Android App Is…
When the opportunity presented itself to move from my safe and secure Blackberry to the Google version of the iPhone, the Android, I had to face my fear of change and overcome my reluctance to experience something unknown. Sound familiar?
As a real estate virtual assistant, I am constantly reviewing new, updated and beta versions of up and coming tools, programs and gadgets; I do this both for myself and my real estate clients, so as to be ahead of the curve and not simply attempting to keep up. But this was a huge step for me since my blackberry has been my lifeline to my business for the past 9 years and it didn’t feel like just another simple transition…
However, with that said, I have good news! I love my new Android (or “Droid” as it is affectionately called) and all the more that it offers me and my business needs while on the go versus my old blackberry. Sheesh! What was a so afraid of?!
My Favorite App for the Android Is…
The Wordpress for Android Application
Of course! This brand new, just released application (less than 50 downloads as of 9:20 p.m. today!) for the Android is the Wordpress for Android. This application works for both wordpress and self-hosted wordpress blogs (if you don’t have a self-hosted wordpress blog, GET ONE!) where you can manage multiple blogs, add or edit new posts, and also be notified of and moderate comments left.

This application may seem very familiar to some, since it was based on the concept surrounding the previous wpToGo application that the Android had available (in fact, I had started creating this blog via the wpToGo application until I learned about the newer Wordpress application that came out today!).
So the moral of this story is, don’t be afraid to take the plunge and leap into the unknown – you may be VERY happy with what you find yourself in the midst of!
